Many people today would say they are interested in spirituality. They are seeking for answers, seeking for truth, seeking to experience something to make sense of life. Some people resonate with the words of the song by U2, “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For”. At the Life Centre we believe that all of our seeking and longings are satisfied in Jesus of Nazareth.
As human beings we were created to have a relationship with God. But we rebelled, sinned, against Him, and as a result we were eternally separated. God could have left us on our own, separated, but out of His great love for us He came after us in the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus came to earth as a baby being both fully God and fully human. He lived a sinless life, died on a cross for our sins, rose again on the third day and He is now alive. Any person, no matter who they are or what they have done, who turns away, repents, from living life Independently of God, and actively trusts in Jesus receives the gift of eternal life. Jesus did not come to earth to make bad people good, or good people better. He came to make people who were spiritually dead come alive. Becoming a follower of Jesus is not about rules, rituals and religion. It is about a life changing relationship with the God of the universe.
